ATLANTA TECHNOLOGY AUTHOR COMES OUT OF RETIREMENT TO HELP PEOPLE AND BUSINESSES PUT AI TO WORK
After selling more than three million books about the Internet, East Cobb entrepreneur Ken Leebow returns with a practical guide to the next major technological revolution
ATLANTA — Ken Leebow, the Atlanta-area technology entrepreneur and author whose groundbreaking 300 Incredible Things to Do on the Internet series sold more than three million copies, has come out of retirement to help individuals and businesses understand and use artificial intelligence.
His new book, 100 Incredible Things You Can Do With AI, is designed to make AI practical, accessible and useful for people who may be curious about the technology but do not consider themselves technology experts.
“I had the same feeling about artificial intelligence that I experienced during the early days of the Internet,” Leebow said. “I knew this technology was going to change how people work, learn, communicate and make decisions. My goal is to help people move beyond the headlines and discover what AI can actually do for them.”
Leebow began writing about the Internet in 1997, when many consumers and business owners were still uncertain about its value. The first printing of his original book totaled approximately 7,000 copies. Growing demand led to increasingly larger orders, including one order for 270,000 books, and the series ultimately surpassed three million copies sold.
Now, Leebow is applying the same straightforward, nontechnical approach to AI. The new book demonstrates how people can use tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini and NotebookLM to conduct research, improve communications, analyze information, generate ideas, prepare presentations, solve business problems and create personalized “AI brain trusts” of virtual experts. Priced at $16.95, the colorful, highly visual book contains 100 practical applications, prompts and examples. It is intended for business owners, employees, professionals, retirees, educators, families and anyone seeking a clear introduction to AI without technical jargon.
The response has already created opportunities beyond book sales. Leebow has participated in a podcast with a nationally known author and orthopedic surgeon, assisted businesses with AI-related projects and been invited to deliver presentations to Atlanta-area professional and senior-focused organizations.
One of his primary presentations, “Building Your AI Dream Team: Your Brain Trust—AI on Steroids,” teaches audiences how to assemble groups of AI-generated advisers representing different disciplines, perspectives and areas of expertise.
“Most people use AI as a slightly improved search engine,” Leebow said. “The real opportunity is learning how to use it as a researcher, strategist, editor, teacher, creative partner and second brain.”
Leebow is also connecting the book to community service. Through a veterans’ scholarship initiative, a portion of designated book sales supports educational opportunities for veterans and their families.
Although retired from his earlier business ventures, Leebow said he views his return as a continuation of the role he played during the Internet’s formative years: helping ordinary people understand an extraordinary new technology.
“This is not a book about replacing people,” he said. “It is about helping people become more capable, creative and informed. AI may be the most powerful learning and productivity tool ever made available to the public—but only if people understand how to use it.”
100 Incredible Things You Can Do With AI is available through Leebow.com.
